We’d like to tell you our story..

The year 2021 was filled with lots of uncertainty, so it was no shock that part of that uncertainty was where to send our twins, Derek and Julianna, to kindergarten. We did a lot of asking around and praying before a co-worker told us about Legacy Christian Academy. After doing more research and praying, we met with Mrs. Cowan and Mrs. Hughes for an interview. After the interview, we knew that Legacy was the right fit for our family. At first, everything was a little overwhelming, but we were committed and stuck with it. Seeing how well the kids were adapting to the program and learning gave everyone the sense of accomplishment that we needed at that time.
Our twins are now in fourth grade, and our youngest daughter, Olivia, is in first grade. Although time has passed, the priorities and values of the school have remained steadfast and constant. The foundation laid by Legacy for our children and us as co-teachers has become a cornerstone for life lessons and educational experiences. While there have been many benefits from the Legacy model, none have been more important than the extra time spent with our children. Being able to watch them learn and grow in their educational journey is not only rewarding and satisfying for us as parents and co-teachers, but for our children as well. The teachers and staff at Legacy have been supportive and encouraging in the growth of our children, and we are appreciative of all they do.
Overall, Legacy is helping us mold our three children into well-equipped, confident, and well-educated disciples to one day send out into the world to do what God has intended for them.
We asked all three of our children the question, “What is the reason you like to go to Legacy?”
Derek said, “I think Legacy is a good school with nice teachers and all my friends.”
Julianna said, “I like Legacy because it is a Christian school where the teachers are nice and they make learning fun.”
Olivia said, “I like Legacy because the teachers are kind and helpful.”
